This community based atmosphere is what she tries to bring to the CFT Alpha class which allows the students to grow confidentally in the Lord and in themselves. Jessica has acted in which Seussical the Musical, Sister Act, and The Addams Family with her college theater program and has learned many valuable life lessons from her expierences with theatre, like dedication and hard worl. Jessica attends Stonebridge Church where she is heavily involved with the youth and is recklessly pursuing the Lord.

Erin Hicks - Assistant Alpha Director

Erin has three children, two of whom are students in the Alpha class. She heard about CFT from a friend who has been a part of the group for years. Lynell Brownlow thought of Erin when the Monday Alpha class needed an extra helping hand and she gladly accepted the position. Erin loves theatre and truly believes in what it brings to the lives of children and adults. To Erin, theatre has always been a way to learn about yourself, strengthen your abilities, and learn new skills that help you throughout life. The possibilites are endless and the positive effects last forever. Erin has been involved in various aspects of theatre since she was a young child, beginning in church in Michigan during her elementary school years. After her fourth move she joined her school's chorus group and speech team in 6th grade in Kentucky until she moved in ninth grade. Speech was a form of performing arts that was very competitive. She won awards for radio announcing, duos, and improv and also competed in speeches, dramatic reading, storytelling, and monologues. In high school she joined drama, was a member of the International Thespian Society, and performed in every skit and play she could for four years. Since then she has taken up directing church plays, was a youth drama director, has written and directed a one act for a homeschool drama class, and in 2016 she performed as Dr. Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace with the Bartow Barnstormers. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to share her ove of theatre with CFT and the Alphas this year.

Melanie Mills - Omega 1 Director

Melanie joined CFT during the 2008-2009 season. She found her niche as a parent volunteer in hair and costuming. In both she loved the challenge and the creativity involved with transforming students into the characters they would play. In 2013, she enjoyed two seasons of teaching the CFT AlphaBits where she lead two mini productions with children ages 5-8. Melanie joined the CFT staff in 2015-2016 as our Omega 1 director where she lead the class for two seasons. She is excited to be back on Staff and Directing the Omega 1 class once again for the 2019-2020 season. Melanie is married to her husband, Kevin, and they have four children, who have all been in CFT. Emily, married to her husband Jon, Jamison, married to his CFT sweet heart Amanda, Christi, and Sarah.

Andrea Fowler - Omega 1 Assistant Director

Andrea discovered CFT in 2016 when she was on the hunt for a new drama community her kids could join. Both Anna and Samuel were first bitten by the acting-bug when they joined Young Actors Playhouse (YAP) at ages seven and nine. After two years and four plays, it was time to search for a new drama group. Andrea was introduced to CFT through her homeschool community. She could immediately sense that this was a unique, tight knit, supportive group of people, many of whom had been together for years. This is currently her family's third year of CFT and her second year as the Assistant Director in Omega 1 with the incrediblely talented Melanie Mills directing. Prior to homeschooling her own kids, Andrea recieved a degree in elementary education from Southeastern University in Florida. She has always enjoyed working with kids and has experience as a classroom teacher, a nanny, a tutor, a Sunday school teacher - and of course a mom. When Samuel was six she began to see some early signs of dyslexia. She decided to go through Orton-Gillingham training so she could help Samuel and possibly tutor other kids with similar struggles. After college (and before marriage and kids) Andrea immersed herself in various art and dance classes. She learned East Coast Swing and Lindy Hop. She joined an amateur Lindy-Hop dance trouped and even danced in the Super Bowl. Around this same time, she went through training at Grace Ministries International (GMI) and was able to join their counseling ministry part-time. She had just started taking classes at Georgia State University towards a Masters in counseling when she met her husband, James. They were married in April of 2002, but not before she taught him some important dance moves. *If* she has free time, she enjoys amusing herself with various creative pursuits such as canvas painting, creative writing, photography, refinishing furniture, faux painting, power walking, watching silly animal videos, and having deep and meaningful conversations with friends - oh and coffee! She is enjoying her new CFT adventure this year with 18 talented, LOUD, talkative, crazy, and amazing middle schoolers. Andrea felt led to lead devotions this year and talk to the kids about our true identity in Christ and who He says we are.
